After the defeat against Manchester City, Sky pundit Didi Hamann criticized Dortmund’s lack of self-criticism. Sebastian Kehl spoke to Sky ahead of the district derby – and sees things differently.
“I think you definitely have to fire, I missed it when Didi said,” Dortmund’s sporting director said.
Hamann sees a “lack of self-criticism”
Hamann considered Dortmund’s statements after the Champions League defeat too uncritical: “When I hear afterwards that Sebastian Kehl says he is proud of the team, Edin Terzic talks about a very good game, Emre Can about a very good game. Then I lack a little self-criticism. I think this lack of self-criticism is fatal. “
Kehl does not consider Hamann’s criticism justified
Kehl, on the other hand, sees the difference between the last few games: “We all want to win in the end. I think you still have to make a difference: do you lose 0:3 in Leipzig – and we expressed very strong self-criticism there – or against possibly the best team in Europe against Man City ” strictly 1:2. Then it has to be classified differently.”
And further: “I don’t think it’s right to express such criticism after 1:2.”
