Good news for all basketball fans. Even before the semi-final against Spain, one thing is certain: the hero’s journey of the DBB team will be shown for free on TV until the end. RTL broadcasts the last EC match on Sunday. It doesn’t matter if it’s gold in the final or bronze in the minor final.
Germany is electrified by its basketball heroes! Only one win in a classic game against Spain separates the DBB team from reaching the historic final. Despite Friday night’s big hit, one thing is already certain: RTL will follow the German national basketball team until the end of the EC trip! Cologne’s broadcasting operations will broadcast either the European Championship gold in Germany (start: 8:15 p.m. / tip-off 8:30 p.m.) or the 3rd place of EuroBasket 2022 (start: 4:45 p.m. / tip-off 5:15 p.m.) on September 18. -TV. RTL Deutschland bought Telekom’s free-to-air TV rights for live broadcasts at short notice as part of a sub-licensing deal that will show all European Championship matches on MagentaSport.
Already tonight, fans can watch live on RTL whether NBA star Dennis Schröder’s team can dream of a big EC victory on Sunday. Presenter Laura Papendick welcomes viewers live from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin to the semi-final against Spain (kick-off: 20:15 / tip-off 20:30). German basketball icon Dirk Nowitzki returns to the RTL broadcast and prepares fans for the next big basketball party. The game is commented by Frank Buschmann and record player Patrick Femerling (Co).
“We are talking about Spain here, they are the European basketball team for the last 15 years, so maybe you shouldn’t ignore it completely. Although the team is different from previous years, there are NBA players and ACB players, it is the first league in Spain and the best in Europe”, warns commentator Frank Buschmann during the game in an RTL interview, adding: “But of course a German victory is possible!”
