MLB: The first Swiss national team player in the draft
On Monday, Noah Williamson became the first Swiss national soccer player to be equipped in Major League Baseball. The 20-year-old man who grew up in the United States was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 19th round as number 569. Starting this summer, Williamson was scheduled to play and study at a top college in Oregon. The next days or weeks will show where his path will take him. In Switzerland, he played for Zurich Barracudas and Zurich Challengers.
NBA: Clippers indefinitely without Leonard
The Los Angeles Clippers will probably have to do without their superstar Kawhi Leonard for a longer period of time. As the club announced on Tuesday, the 30-year-old player is out for the time being after surgery on a ligament in his right knee. In June, Leonard was injured in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Utah Jazz and missed the Clippers’ final 8 playoff games.
